Meet the Heroic Gents

A number of distinguished men contribute to The Heroic Gent. Here is a little about them. Warning: Each is much more than he'll say.

Frank Miniter

I launched The Heroic Gent because, though so much of the writing I've done about the DNA of this gentleman appears in the books I've written and in the magazines I've edited and written for, it really needs to be put unapologetically together in one place. Boys and men need a space that explores the philosophy and nature of the ideal. My books are in the Library section of this website and you can find out more about me at FrankMiniter.com. You can contact me at Editor@TheHeroicGent.com.

Michael Luders

Michael Luders started on Wall Street, spending time with another kind of storyteller—brokers and traders—before turning to writing. Just as the great Annie Proulx began writing for sporting magazines, so did he. His work can be found in Sporting Classics, Strung and various other outdoor and online journals. He has also written screenplays, optioned though never produced, for John Boorman, Sondra Locke, James Coburn, Noah Wylie and Robert Harris, and is the author of the novels, In Tooth and Claw and Past the Desolate Places.

Alan Peterson

Alan Peterson is a film maker who feels blessed to be sandwiched between the rocks and trees of the Wasatch Mountains and the mud and cattails of the Great Salt Lake. He enjoys hunkering down for waterfowl in the marsh and exploring rugged canyons for cutthroat trout. Alan had a father and grandfather who introduced him to the wonders of God’s creations and a mother who taught him the art of seeing beauty in everything. He’s lucky to have a wife that encourages it all. You can see his latest film, The Best Thing About Christmas, at UPtv.
